The Slicker Pro renders rain irrelevant.

Riding in cold rain, the Slicker Pro had me thinking a novel thought: "Rain is irrelevant." Yes, many shell jackets have been and are waterproof. Remember the clear plastic ones racers used to wear? They were terrible, but terrible was the norm. The Gabba and Perfetto redefined water and wind protection while maintaining aerodynamic performance and breathability. When you want a shell, to pack along, take on and off over a day, flapping in the wind and moisture build-up are what we want to avoid. The Slicker Pro moves moisture out well, nearly as effectively as the Perfetto, and doesn't flap in the wind, even when it isn't skin-tight. Meanwhile, it keeps wind and rain out completely. I've never owned a piece of kit that has made me this keen about heading out into rain.

It's a nice jacket amd works well and id fit for purpose. Although I would says it packs into a jersey pocket particularly well as its pretty bulky really, so that statement is a bit bold, and slightly misleading especially as I was specifically after a packable rain jacket

Absolutely amazing ShakeDry fabric and fit. Warm and dry with light or medium weight base layer or jersey, even riding hard in 40F and hard rain i was dry and not sweaty. Sleeves and cuffs are brilliant. Expensive but worth more.
