GREFILLINN 2024
The climb through Kaldidalur, one of Iceland's most well-known highlands, proved to be as demanding as it was breathtaking. Determined and focused, the cyclists skillfully and resiliently navigated the rugged trails as their bikes glided over rocky terrain, surrounded by the majesty of glaciers and volcanic landscapes that define this unique region. The clouds acted as a natural shield against the sun, providing just the right amount of shade and keeping temperatures cool—ideal conditions for tackling the strenuous ascent. The growing fatigue of the ride was more than compensated by the spectacular view stretching out to the horizon, where the soft daylight created plays of shadow and color that made the landscape even more picturesque and inspiring, motivating the cyclists to push through the toughest sections.
