Extended Christmas return until the end of January
EUROPEAN ROAD CHAMPIONSHIPS 2021
Thousands of cycling fans invaded Trento last weekend. And of course, we were among them too. Our HQ is just one hour by car from Trento, so we absolutely had to be there.
WOMEN FIRST
Our weekend started with the women's road race on Saturday afternoon. 107,2 km entirely covered in the city circuit of Trento, 13,2 km long with 250m of elevation gain, and featuring the Povo climb (3,6km at 4,7%). Start and finish located in Piazza Duomo.
The decisive action began in the last 50 kilometers of the 107 km race (8 laps of a 13.2km circuit). Our Soraya Paladin attacked with Ellen Van Dijk (Netherlands) Romy Kasper (Germany) and Aude Biannic (France).
Into the decisive section of the race it was Ellen Van Dijk who was first to attack, but Paladin closed the gap. Van Dijk attacked again shortly after and this time she dropped Paladin.
At that point, nothing else separated Ellen Van Dijk from the European Road Race title.
BIG, BIG SOLO WIN!!!

COLBRELLI'S SUNDAY
When in the morning we arrived at the team bus area there was silence, maybe even a bit of tension due to the importance of the race.
Everyone in the area was talking about Colbrelli's possible success, but in cycling you never know. Too many variables to consider, so most of the time it's almost impossible to predict with certainty the winner.
But sometimes the prediction is respected and this time it is one of them.
Colbrelli won the European Road Race and that's FOUR TITLES IN A ROW FOR ITALY.
Below a small selection of what we lived last Sunday.
