Riding off-road and the improvements in breathability in hard shell fabrics have made us reconsider hard shell jackets. The Trail Endurance GT Jacket is a women's-specific jacket that's made to cover rainy rides on any surface, or cold rides when you really want to keep the elements out and you're not as concerned about going fast. We've used GORE-TEX® PACLITE® Plus for the extra breathability, but that allows the jacket to compress down to low volume in your bags. It has two front pockets that can open for ventilation, and a zipper at each side that can be opened to give extra width to the hemline and allow ventilation out the bottom. The hood is cut to fit under your helmet for riding in the rain — you don't really care if your helmet gets wet. The wrists have an anatomic cut to better fit around your hand and keep any rain from running down into your gloves. While this jacket is first and foremost a technical on-bike piece, it's also designed to look good when you're off the bike, for your next adventure or bikepacking ride.
